I am Madaline Richardson, President of Kids Inspiration. In addition to being a business owner, I founded “Your BIG Day” in 2022 with the desire to help children who struggle with Childhood Anxieties. Since the age of five (5), I have been committed to giving children outlets to combat anxiety related behaviors with activities to serve their community. I invite other children to join in with “Your BIG Day” by serving their communities.
The “Your BIG Day” platform is active in serving the community through various service initiatives. Our service falls under three pillars:
- Food Donation
- Girl Empowerment
- Highway Clean Up
Let me tell you how I’ve served in these areas and let you know how you too can get involved.
- Food Donation: I built a food pantry blessing box, that once a week I fill with non-perishable food items. I donate time to local food banks and shelters in my community. These acts of service help those that suffer with food insecurities. How Can You Get Involved: You too can consider building a wooden pantry box in your community. You can also volunteer time at a local food bank near you.
- Girl Empowerment: I have planned several girl empowerment programs, such as, high teas, learning workshops, and A BRAVE Affair pageant to lift the self-esteem of girls in my community. I also host “Monday’s with Maddy” where I give an uplifting message and showcase one of my mugs, which got me featured on the Jennifer Hudson Show Season. How Can You Get Involved: Plan a high tea with friends and hold a workshop to teach each other a new skill, like bracelet making, read to one another to promote literacy, or serve in your community as a group to uplift others.
-
Highway Cleanup: In 2022, I adopted a highway through the Department of Transportation. The highway is named, “Maddy’s Place, Your BIG Day”. I go out with my family, friends, and community to pick up trash on this stretch of the highway. How Can You Get Involved: Plan a neighborhood trash pick up in your community. This helps keep the roads clean and the wildlife safe from potential hazards.
Remember, YOU can make a difference in your community too because…
You are Brave. You are Smart. You are Somebody!
